MEETINGS
Parent Meeting with an Administrator or Teacher
This first meeting is to gather information and discover what concerns, if any, the parent may have regarding their child. We seek to determine how much time is devoted to academic activities, hobbies, and sports. We discuss organization, homework routines, and the amount of parent help provided to implement similar accommodations at home.
Future plans are developed individually.
Elementary Campus Parents
We invite elementary parents to stay in regular contact with their child’s classroom teacher, and, if applicable, the FCS Reading Specialist. The Campus Principal will assist with any changes to the formal 504 plans which will be reviewed by the Head of School.
Secondary Campus Parents
Parents of Secondary Campus students with a formal 504 plan will benefit from connecting with the Accommodations Counselor who will check in with students, set up group meetings with multiple teachers, seek out answers for parents and students, help clarify accommodation plans for teachers, and more. The Counselor will also assist with changes to 504 plans and any application for accommodations to ACT and/or the College Board, all of which are reviewed by the Head of School.
